Founded in 2004, Cardiff Sixth Form College began as a small, private tutorial institution committed to innovative educational practices. Since accepting its first international students in 2009, the college has evolved into a multicultural learning community, drawing students from over 40 countries alongside local and UK-wide applicants. In 2011, the institution registered as a full boarding school and, thanks to its exceptional academic performance and numerous accolades, has maintained its position among the top schools in the UK. In response to growing global demand, a new campus was launched in Cambridge in 2022, further extending the college’s international influence.

Cardiff Sixth Form College consistently achieves remarkable A-level results. Between 2019 and 2024, over 90% of students have secured A* and A grades. Accommodation

Approximately 85% of students at Cardiff Sixth Form College choose boarding, residing in modern, purpose-built dormitories conveniently located within a short walk from the main academic buildings. The accommodation is offered in three distinct formats:

  • Cluster Rooms: Designed for 4 to 6 students, these rooms provide each student with a private bedroom and an en-suite bathroom, while sharing a common kitchen and lounge.
  • Apartments: Featuring two single bedrooms, these apartments include a shared bathroom, kitchen, and lounge.
  • Studio Flats: These consist of a single room with an en-suite bathroom and kitchen, but without a lounge, and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

All boarding students benefit from access to spacious communal areas, laundry facilities, music practice rooms, art studios, and an on-site medical centre, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their studies.
